Service Description

Microsoft Lync delivers streamlined communications for the staff and students, so they can find and communicate with the right person, right now. Work across different locations and time zones using a variety of communication methods such as instant messaging and conferencing.

MS Lync comes pre-installed on the new Win 8 Staff machines but can also be accessed online: http://mail.qmul.ac.uk

Lync related requests should be made 5 working days in advance

Cost

There is no cost to the user for this service, but it is a role based service so will need local approval prior to requesting access.

Availability

Hours of Service: 24/7/365
Supported Monday to Friday 8am–6pm (excluding bank holidays and university closure days).
